Community PUBS Week
17th - 24th February

Welcome to The Lock Stock & Barrel Website A friendly local pub for local people and visitors alike.

We sell good good old fashioned home cooked and prepared food, (not as some claim by microwaving bought in produce) Wednesday through to Sunday. We don't have an extensive menu due to it being home prepared and cooked, but it does include, wild Rabbit pie, wild Pigeon pie, local wild Venison pie, game pie and the local wild Venison roast on the Sunday carvery (first Sunday of the Month). Of course we do steaks, including our recession busting specials, 2 x 10oz rumps £12, 2 x 10oz sirloins £14, 2 x 18oz T bones or 2 x 8oz fillets for £16 with all the trimmings as well as scampi, gammon and other favourites.

Our campain for The Royal Anglian (our son's)Regiment wristband appeal continues with around £1,400 donated so far by our regulars and others.

Live music continues to be something we and the locals enjoy, a recent jam session turned up members of Mosquito, Faded Elbow, Defined, Kracker2, plus all the usual entourage.

Cask ale is a regular feature but only on 1 pump we try not to run what other locals have on so our customers can enjoy something a little different. Our selection changes several times a week and we bring in beers on request by customers.

We have a cosy heated smoking shelter as well as a popular courtyard/beer-garden.
A real fire adds to the cosy ambiance inside the pub.

With a biking Landlord, bikers are welcome, Jam and Deano a couple of local RD owners have started a Thursday evening 2 stroke meet, more participants are required, we have ordered good weather for 2009 so lets hope it arrives. We have a B and B next door for those who visit from afar, call for details on 01724 711192.
