Welcome to The Lock Stock & Barrel Website A friendly local pub for local people and visitors alike.
We sell good good old fashioned home cooked and prepared food, (not as some claim by microwaving bought in produce) Wednesday through to Sunday. We don't have an extensive menu due to it being home prepared and cooked, but it does include, wild Rabbit pie, wild Pigeon pie, local wild Venison pie and game pie. Of course we do steaks, including our recession busting specials, 2 x 10oz rumps £12, 2 x 10oz sirloins £14, 2 x 18oz T bones or 2 x 8oz fillets for £16 with all the trimmings as well as scampi, gammon and other favourites.
Our campain for The Royal Anglian (our son's)Regiment wristband appeal raised £1,600 thanks to the efforts of our regulars and others. We continue to support Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Jerry Greens, dogs home and are now raising money for the local Lives group.
Live music continues to be something we and the locals enjoy, jam session's regularly turn up members of Mosquito, Jackhammer, Kracker2, plus all the usual entourage, we are of course hoping others will come and join in.
Cask ale unfortunatley is only available at holiday periods due to the ressesion and lack of turnover, we now stock several bottled cask type beers so our customers can enjoy something similar.
We have a cosy heated smoking shelter as well as a popular courtyard/beer-garden.
A real fire adds to the cosy ambiance inside the pub.
With a biking Landlord, bikers are welcome, we have ordered good weather for 2010 so lets hope it arrives. We have a B and B next door for those who visit from afar, call for details on 01724 711192.
